NMYBBSB offers travel baseball programs for player seeking a higher level of competition. Tryouts are held for these teams and, if there is enough interest, additional teams will be formed.

AFFILIATION & PLAYING EXPERIENCE
NMYBBSB is affiliated with Cal Ripken Baseball and Babe Ruth Baseball and Softball. Our travel baseball teams compete in Cal Ripken (8U-12U) and Babe Ruth Baseball  (13U-16U) tournament trail starting with local district tournaments. District participants earn the opportunity to compete in their respective state tournament. State participants can advance to a  regional tournament. Currently, Cal Ripken offers a qualifying World Series for 10U and 12U regional winners. Babe Ruth offers a similar tournament trail. However, in contrast to Cal Ripken, Babe Ruth holds a qualifying World Series for all age groups.

Babe Ruth Softball tournament trail starts with the state tournament. Currently, our travel softball teams have the opportunity to advance to regionals and a World Series at all age levels (8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U).

Our travel baseball and softball  teams also participate in local leagues and independent tournaments. Leagues include, Greater Hudson Valley (GHVBL), New York Elite (NYEBL), CT Xtreme Baseball, and Fairfield County Fastpitch Softball (FCFSL).

TEAM SELECTION & SEASON
Tryouts are held annually for district/state tournament teams. The league also does its best to form summer teams for players who are not selected for tournament trail teams. These teams typically compete in local leagues and tournaments. Travel baseball games, with the exception of some tournaments, typically start at the completion of the spring in-house  season for most age levels. In contrast, there is some overlap of the in-house and travel seasons for softball at most age levels. In addition to in-season practices , travel  teams often hold optional winter workouts in preparation for the upcoming season.

WHO ARE WE?
NMYBBSB is a 501C3 non-profit organization. Accordingly, the majority of our travel coaches and instructors  are volunteers. Paid coaches and instructors are utilized for in-season team training, winter workouts, and clinics, when applicable.
